Trov partners with Suncorp to reinvent insurance for the mobile generation
Trov helps people avoid underinsurance by tracking the value of the things they own
San Francisco, CA – Apr. 16, 2015 Suncorp, Australia’s leading insurer, has partnered with Trov, a US technology company that helps people organize, value and protect the things they own via their mobile device.
The Trov mobile app automatically organizes information about the things people are buying, including receipts and market values, and stores it securely in the cloud. Trov users can then quickly access details about their things when they need them - which is particularly important in the event of an insurance claim. After less than a year since launch, over $3.5 Billion worth of items have been added to Trovs globally with over $13 Million worth of new items being added daily.

In the first phase of the partnership, Trov users in Australia can easily connect to specially trained Suncorp Insurance representatives directly from their Trov to discuss insurance options for their things. Suncorp Insurance Executive General Manager, Customer Product and Pricing, Lisa Harrison said approximately one third of people in Queensland, Australia either don’t have sufficient contents insurance, or are unsure if they are adequately covered*.
